As you all have seen and heard, there have been some catastrophic events happen in our state of Oklahoma. Thank the Lord, these storms blew past our family, but for many in Moore and Shawnee, OK that was note the case. They have now lost loved ones, family, friends, and some folks have lost pretty much everything. I know the folks of Moore, OK would love your help. Our church is taking up donations (find out more here) and having a prayer service this Wednesday night, but if you would like to help, here are two big suggestions right now:

  1. PRAY! – pray for these families that have been affected. There is great loss, as you well know. Pray as a family. Pray individually. Pray as a church, Sunday School class or small group.
  2. Donate – I highly suggest giving to BGCO Disaster Relief. The big reason is that 100% of all the money given goes straight to the people affected. Here is a direct link to the site if you would like to give online (click here).

Thank you friends and family. Please be praying for this great tragedy. May God bless the brokenhearted and bless the efforts of first responders, volunteers, churches and organizations, and all who help. May God use this tragic event for good. I believe He can and He will.

There is something you will hear many times if you stand up for something, especially Biblical truth.

“You are just being intolerant.”

Let me remind you – this claim is ridiculous. EVERY claim of intolerance is made by “tolerant” people in intolerance, which makes it ignorant. All you have to do is use what Frank Turek calls, the Road Runner Tactic. Basically, you turn these claims back on themselves. Think about it: if tolerant people make a claim of intolerance, they are automatically intolerant (not being tolerant of people who are intolerant). Tolerance would allow no such statement. Make sense? If this is true, every claim of intolerance you hear is null and void. All you and I have to do is politely and lovingly point that out. You no longer have to answer these ridiculous claims with, “No I’m not!” as an answer. Now we have some ammo!

It’s almost like an illustration my college prof, Dr. Gramling, would give about humility. He said he received the humility pin in Sunday School one week as a child. He wore it the next week and they took it away. Ha!

Have you had recent experiences with someone claiming you, or someone else, was being intolerant?
